Trash for some - Art for others

On Core77.com a post was made highlighting a U.S soldiers that creates art using material that everyone else calls garbage. Even though he was stationed in Afghanistan during a time where playing with toys was not a priority,  Private First class Rupert Valero would go out and collect garbage in order to create action figures.

Valero says that his creations have allowed him to speak to the locals and build relationships. During an interview with Core 77, Valero says that his main goal is to inspire to be creative in their own ways. This example just comes to show that whether for the better or worse, art and design has the ability to bring people together.
